SOME TRAVEL ADVICE

A. From Venice airport to Padova

Option 1. Direct bus to Padova Bus Station - SITA/Busitalia service

 (site only in Italian. Select “Venezia Aeroporto Marco Polo Tessera” as “Fermate di partenza” on the left, and “Padova Autostazione” as “Fermate di arrivo” on the right, and then choose the date of your arrival). Tickets are sold at a counter in the arrivals area of the airport. There are also automatic machines near the bus stop.

Option 2. Take a bus to Venezia Mestre railway station and then a train to Padova

Tickets are sold at a counter in the arrivals area of the airport or by automatic machines near the bus stop.

B: From Treviso to Padova: there are 3 options

Option 1, direct bus to Padova: SITA/Busitalia service (see timetable for Sunday all
day). Tickets should be sold at the Airport Bar (but please ask there).

If you choose options 2 or 3 I would suggest you don’t book the train ticket in advance but just check the timetable. You can buy tickets directly at the station.

IN PADOVA

Railway Station and Bus Station are close to one another (see map).

Taxis are just out of the main entrance of the Railway station. There is a “metrotram” service (surface tram) that crosses the city centre and can ride you near to most of your hotels -- Timetable

If you need advice about the most convenient stop to your hotel just ask.

Tickets can be bought at a yellow and white kiosk “Bus ticket point” which is out of the main entrance of the railway station, or from newsagent’s shops.
